Do you do business in Battle Creek / Calhoun County?\n\nIf so\, you will want to attend our Battle Creek Meeting this Tuesday\, October 15th from 5pm ? 7pm at the Riverside Golf Club & Banquet Center at 245 E Columbia Ave. in Battle Creek.\n\nWe will be discussing two important topics specific to doing business in Battle Creek:\n\n\n	Problems with City of Battle Creek Permits\n	Issues around the number of unlicensed contractors doing business in Calhoun County\n\n\nOur special guest will be Lee Schwartz\, Executive Vice President for Government Relations from HBA of Michigan.  As many of you know\, these issues are a primary part of Lee?s job in supporting HBA members state-wide to find solutions when problems of this kind arrive. \n\nLee will make recommendations and inform us of any formal actions we can take as an association based on his experience in other parts of the state with similar issues.\n\nThis is our opportunity as an association to address these issues head-on as a concerned group of members doing business in Battle Creek.  As we like to say especially when it comes to code\, permit and legislative issues:  there's strength in numbers!
