DESCRIPTION:The HBA is convening a working group of members to review our Builder Contracts & Forms. It has been a number of year's since these were updated and we need YOUR input. \n\n\n\nThe HBA of Western Michigan provides\, as a member exclusive benefit\, contract and form templates for:\n\n	New home construction\n	Remodeling\n	Change orders\n	Subcontractor agreements\n	New home limited warranty\n	Mold notice and waiver\n	Remodel lead paint disclosure\n\nThese contracts and forms are fully reviewed and vetted by HBA Western Michigan Preferred Partner for Legal Service\, Willis Law. \n\n\n\nThe current version of these documents is the 2015 updates and revisions.  Over time\, situations change\, and members may modify the template to address new issues or unforeseen circumstances.  Members also identify issues that they wish the templates would address or cover.  Please share with us those updates\, changes and edits that you have experienced for identified. \n\n\n\nThis is your opportunity to have a direct say in shaping the 2019/2020 updates.  On Thursday\, October 24th from 3-5pm at the HBA offices in Kalamazoo\, members are welcome to attend a free template update working group. \n\n\n\nThe results of the working group   a wish list of sorts - will then be reviewed by Willis Law and integrated into the updated documents as appropriate.  Of course\, during their review\, Willis Law will ensure that any changes in laws are also reflected in the update.
