Continuing Competency Course 9am-12pm (3 hour credits)

Continuing Education is now required for all licensed builders in order to renew their license. This seminar has been created especially for those experienced builders who became licensed prior to Jan. 1, 2009, and have been approved by the State of Michigan DELEG. This seminar will fulfill your Continuing Competency requirement for the license cycle ending May 31, 2011.

Builders who received their license after Jan. 1, 2009, require 21 hours of Continuing Competency. Contact your HBA for more information.

During the seminar, the following topics will be presented in four one-hour modules: Legal -- Occupational Code; Codes -- Michigan Residential Code; Safety -- MIOSHA Standards; and Legal -- Contracts, Liability and Risk Management.
