RRP Refresher Class

The Renovate, Repair, and Paint (RRP) Certification is approved by the EPA. It is federally required for contractors during any renovations performed for compensation in Pre-1978 target housing or child-occupied facilities in which:
- More than 6 sq. ft. of interior paint is disturbed
- More than 20 sq. ft. of exterior paint is disturbed, and/or
- Any window is replaced
This rule has been effective as of April 22, 2010. Renovator certification and dust sampling technician certification: Individuals who complete a renovator course accredited by EPA before April 22, 2010, must complete an EPA-accredited renovator refresher course before July 1, 2016, to maintain renovator certification. This 4-hour refresher course will keep you certified for another 5 years. If you completed your initial certification between:
• April 1, 2010, and March 31, 2011 - The deadline to complete your refresher training is 6 years from the completion of the initial training course.
• On or after April 1, 2011 - The deadline to complete your refresher training is within five years of the completion of the initial training course.
