Join Southwest Michigan First on Friday, January 15 for a virtual Small Business session focused on helping woman- and minority-owned companies become certified in Michigan. As a certified woman- and/or minority-owned business in the state of Michigan, you have the chance to provide your company with access to additional contracting opportunities with major corporations, educational and governmental institutions, potential grant funding and more! Not only can this certification give you a greater chance of attracting and securing projects, but it can also enhance your efforts to diversify and market your business to a broader audience.
On the call we will be joined by Andrew Sims of the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council as well as local business owner Jas Kaur of Singh Automation. During the session, Andrew and Jas will share the process of becoming certified as a minority-owned or woman-owned business enterprise and provide us with an overview of opportunities that are available to certified businesses. There will also be ample time for you to ask questions.
